Matt Clarke - Umbrella Furniture
Matt Clarke

SALES DIRECTOR

After studying graphic design at university, Matt followed a passion for product design with a successful career within the interior design publishing sector. He launched ‘on office’ magazine within the workplace industry and took ‘icon’ to new levels within the architecture marketplace. With a fresh challenge in mind back in 2009, he moved across to the furniture world to support the A&D community with project specification, manufacturers ‘Allermuir’ and ‘Vitra’ are where he fine tuned his passion for furniture.

A&D MANAGER

After studying for a business degree at Aston University, Luke found his feet in the furniture industry by first joining ‘Teal’, a leading healthcare furniture manufacturer supporting the A&D community. He was an integral part of setting up a distribution network with the award winning product ‘Kwickscreen’ where he won the Lloyds TSB young entrepreneur award along the way. After realising his potential in the design industry he joined the design led British furniture manufacturer ‘Hitch Mylius’ where he spent 3 years helping the company place products globally on various projects. Prior to Umbrella he has spent the last 3 years working on the furniture dealer side of the industry assisting the A&D community with the specification and delivery of projects throughout the UK and Europe.

Maria Eastell

SHOWROOM & EVENTS MANAGER

Whilst studying at the London College of Fashion and achieving a First Class degree in Fashion Business, Maria worked full time as the Studio Manager at Forme UK. Since entering the industry in 2015, her love for interiors and design has flourished. Although greatly valued for her product knowledge and smooth running of studio life, Maria’s increasing expertise in organisation and planning fuelled her ambition to progress into the field of events within the industry. Maria joins Umbrella as the Showroom and Events Manager, an opportunity perfectly suited to combining her passion for the furniture world and abilities in organisation.

Tilly Coates

FURNITURE CONSULTANT

Tilly studied BA (Hons) Interior Design at Falmouth University, before joining Basha-Franklin as a designer. Whilst working as an interior designer Tilly advanced her knowledge and love for furniture before moving to Umbrella. Tilly brings fantastic product knowledge, a well-rounded understanding of the industry and passion for furniture design. She has a strong knowledge of fabrics and finishes and her enthusiasm and personable nature make her excellent when liaising with customers and clients in all situations that arise through furniture specification.
