Matt Clarke


After studying graphic design at university, Matt followed a passion for product design with a successful career within the interior design publishing sector. He launched ‘on office’ magazine within the workplace industry and took ‘icon’ to new levels within the architecture marketplace. With a fresh challenge in mind back in 2009, he moved across to the furniture world to support the A&D community with project specification, manufacturers ‘Allermuir’ and ‘Vitra’ are where he fine tuned his passion for furniture.

Sue Hann


For nearly 30 years Sue has applied a consultative approach to working with professional teams, from specification and budget development to procurement and delivery. Sue’s experience is with major projects within framework agreements, FF&E consultancy and individual turnkey projects. Her focus is on understanding project parameters and interior design intent, building a relationship as a dependable partner, and applying her extensive knowledge of global and European suppliers. Materiality and sustainability are a particular passion and her motto is …….‘every day is a school day’.


David Chiverton


With 8 years of commercial interiors experience behind him, David has a wealth of experience delivering a first in class service to his clients, working within a budget and delivering projects within specified timelines. The key to David’s success is communication, working with his clients closely, managing their expectations at all times. His previous experience has seen him gain invaluable knowledge throughout the furniture and fit-out industry from working with the main contractor, D&B furniture dealer and a furniture manufacturer, giving a unique perspective to a client throughout their project journey. When not fully immersed in all thing’s interiors, an occasional game of either 5 a-side or Squash never goes a miss!

Tilly Coates


Tilly studied BA (Hons) Interior Design at Falmouth University, before joining Basha-Franklin as a designer. Whilst working as an interior designer Tilly advanced her knowledge and love for furniture before moving to Umbrella. Tilly brings fantastic product knowledge, a well-rounded understanding of the industry and passion for furniture design. She has a strong knowledge of fabrics and finishes and her enthusiasm and personable nature make her excellent when liaising with customers and clients in all situations that arise through furniture specification.

Toby Price


Toby joined the business at 17, enrolling in an apprenticeship scheme whilst working in the business development department. After 3 years in that area of the business, and starting to understand more about the back end of project management he then moved over to the sales team in 2018 supporting the team with projects from small offices to multi-million-pound schemes. Since then he has built up a range of clients as well as continuing to support the business with large projects and tenders.

Toby’s knowledge of the furniture market and attention to detail from a finishes perspective brings valuable support to the Umbrella Consultative offering whilst detailing our large furniture schemes.
