A Celebration of Wellness & Design
CDW2025 News Update
As Clerkenwell Design Week draws to a close, we at Umbrella Furniture would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited our showroom and engaged with us over the three-day festival.
This year, in collaboration with our CDW partners, we reimagined our showroom as a wellness sanctuary—a curated space where design and wellbeing converged. From puppy therapy sessions and professional massages to an insightful panel discussion on the role of colour and biophilia in the workplace, our goal was to provide a restorative and inspiring environment that resonated with todays’ modern workspaces.
We were proud to once again present our Umbrella+Friends installations, featuring innovative pieces from some of the most respected names in contemporary furniture design: Piaval, Sancal, Treku, Wendelbo, Midj, New Works, Extremis, and our architectural partner T6. These collaborations continue to embody our commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and thoughtful design.
Special thanks to Puppy Yoga London, whose sessions brought joy and energy to all who participated; Massage Angels, for offering moments of calm; and Octopus Food, whose delicious slow-cooked meals and vibrant salad bar kept our guests well-fuelled throughout the event.
A particular highlight of the week was our panel talk, ‘The Importance of Colour and Biophilia in the Workplace,’ moderated by Alys Bryan, Editorial Director at Design Insider. Our thanks to the brilliant panellists—Emma Bestley (YesColours), Dirk Wynants (Extremis), Pål Eid-Hviding (Fora Form), and Sam McCarthy (PlantPlan)—who shared valuable insights into how sensory design can elevate both employers and wellbeing of their staff in the workplace.
Thank you once again to our clients, Umbrella+Friends partners for making CDW 2025 such a success. See you next year!!.
